diet, genetics (oh, trust me.. you may struggle with weight later), exercise or lack of. be glad you are thin.

I was skinny until I reached 35. I wore the same size from high school until age 35, then gained 30 pounds. It catches up with you if you don't work at it.

Whether you're fat or not isn't decided by your parents (unless they've desiese or something). You have eaten well by the sounds of it and excersised a lot. Don't take the same path as your parents if you want to stay skinny.

Ummm...it's called metabolism as you get older it slows down. Better watch out....it'll happen to you too. If they are obese it could be that they had a high metabolism when they were younger and could eat a whole bunch of food without getting heavy...but as they got older their metabolism started to fizzle out on them be they were use to eating large amts of food without gaining weight. So they most likely didn't adjust their eating habits to fit their lifestyles.

You are skinny because you consume less calories than your parents. And you burn more calories because you have a younger metabolism and get more exercise.
