What kind of self-control method can be helpful when you're having anger driven thoughts that make your heart beating fast? I usually keep my anger under controlled but time to time, there's a situation arised that makes me feel unfairly treated. Usually it follows with paranoia. Once it starts, it's hard to keep it down for a few days. It's a bit different from anxiety. But it's not something that's too devouring to treat with medication. Is there any good method to regain one's cool back to find a peace of mind after racing trip to paranoia?

Where should I begin?!

Everyone is different & different things work for different people!! A few coping methods that work for me are:

1. Talking -- A good friend is worth more than any medication in the world!! Sometimes all you need to do is vent & talk out your frustrations!
2. Music -- Sometimes listening to the right song/artist & balling your eyes out is just what the DR ordered!
3. Exercise -- Run like Forest Gump is you have too! Get your adrenaline rushing, get your frustation out!
4. Seek medical attention -- Such as a psychaitrist or someone else who will allow you to talk over you rationalizations.

Good Luck!

There are two things that I can think of that don't involve medication one is meditation, if you're upset and your brain is racing you're probably not getting a whole lot done anyway so take five or ten minutes and meditate (there are great books on meditation and if you have a problem religiously with it then you can pray it's basically the same thing). The second one you need another person for: have them say a random word and you say the first word that comes to your mind (for example the person says "ice cream" then you would say the first word that comes to your mind). Then keep doing this until you feel yourself relax, it's important you say the first thing that comes to mind without sugarcoating, and no conversations, this should be a free word association with no pressure of explanation. I know it sounds silly, but give it a try you may be surprised.

It sounds like this is a deep rooted problem thats not going to go awy unless you get professional help. A physcoligist would be able to help you in this area.

Do go & see one, but in the mean time.......
When anger & rushing thoughts start to happen, Stop & try to recognise what has been happening around you, in your thoughts etc for the past few hours or so.
After realising when it begins & looking back to see what has gone on, after a time then you should be able to understand whats triggeres this panicy anger.
Then try to use breathing & relaxation tecniques to prevent it from errupting. There are alot of groups around that teach this.

Sometimes, just get out & going for a walk. You'd be suprised what sort of mood you'll come back in, because it gets those 'feel good' chemicals in your brain happening.

But I believe there are undealt with issues there & you should probably seek professional help to totally resolve this.
Hope this helps

Try not to think of this as something that's abnormal-- it happens to everyone to a greater or lesser degree.

Try to eliminate any stimulants from your diet (coffee, chocolate, etc.) Drink plenty of water and get some exercise every day. Try to exercise until you are tired.

Don't try to sleep when you are not sleepy. If you are beset by racing thoughts, get up and do something-- just try not to disturb the others in your house who are sleeping. Read, listen to music with headphones, exercise, etc.

Milk is very calming. Unless you are allergic to it, try to drink several glasses a day.

I practice yoga and this has been very helpful in calming intense mental activity. If you take a yoga class at your local free school you'll meet people and learn a lot.

Try not to think of anger as something that "should" be repressed. There are ways you can get rid of anger without repressing yourself. Pent-up anger will cause health problems over time.

I hope this was helpful!

Go to a very very dark place and stay there untill you cool down and go to have two cups of milk or two cups apple juice. You would stay cool for 24 hours.
You should get sufficient of Ca, Mg, Zn. American foods don't contain suficient Mg and Zn. Additional of 33% Ca, Mg, and Zn would be a good recommandation.
You can call police or medical doctors or even you firends.

The best way to deal wih anger or unwanted feelings or thoughts is to sit back, cloe your eyes, and breath evenly. Then visualize someplace you enjoy. In otherwords go to you "Happy Place". I know that sounds silly but it really works. Also ask yourself. Is it really worth getting upset about? Is it worth your energy? You can set your on path, and only let others on it with you when it is a positive thing.

Well, i would talk about the situation to whom it is with and then try to take deep breathes. If you hold on to every thing that make you mad without letting it out, then later is will explode and cause more damage.

If it gets to that point, get in a quiet spot, clear your mind and take 10 deep breaths. that should get you back to "normal"

Remove yourself from wherever you are - physically- if just for a few minutes. Try to meditate or chant - even if it's just "peanutbutter...peanutbutter...".

Hey! Works for me!

Cut down on caffeine or any other type of stimulants. Yoga also helps.
