I don't know about shallow. But the very leat you can do is let him know you aren't interested. It's not fair to leave him hanging.

Perhaps a bit. It would be nice of you to at least explain to this average looking nerdie guy that you aren't interested in having a relationship with him. Poor sucker is probably sitting at home wondering what he did wrong. Honestly though it would be the proper thing for you to talk with this fella and just let him know that you don't think he's the guy for you so there's no use in putting in any effort to a relationship with him. I'm sure that he'd be grateful for your truthfulness and you'd also feel better being honest.

It may be a lil shallow to not answer the calls & avoid him (but we are not all perfect)...but not shallow that you are not attracted to him. That is something that comes naturally (at least I believe), you really do not get to choose who you are & are not attracted to. Go with what your body is telling you & it sounds like it told you he was not your type. Maybe you should try to not to pick a person to date by what specific traits, maybe you should let it flow, let your chemistry lead you. If someone asks you out & your first instinct is no, then go with the no...otherwise that would be what would be shallow just to be with someone because you are trying something out...not because you have a true interest.

Either way you have a lot to learn, we all do, try to be true to yourself, because you are definetly the one there in the end. Good luck =)

No, not being shallow. I would suggest at least picking up the phone and telling him you aren't interested. You could say that the chemistry isn't there for you. You don't have to be mean about it to him. Think about how you would feel if the roles were reversed and somebody you were into just started avoiding you. Remember the "golden" rule - Do onto others as you'd have done onto you. Oh yeah, and karma is a *****! :)

Everyone is a bit shallow to a certain extent...u can't expect urself to date someone who ur not physically attracted to...there has to b chemistry and u gotta feel attraction. but just remember sometimes the best looking guyz are not alwayz the best...because if u like him for his looks, chances are other gals will too!

Seems like you have a problem with him being as you stated "emotionally cligy" and not his physical makeup; no that would not make you shallow.

you still have time before you become shallow. you just need to tell him your not attracted to him, and sorry. how can he be mad at you because he is not attractive?
