God by definition is the uncreated creator of the universe, so the question ‘Who created God?’ is illogical, just like ‘To whom is the bachelor married?’

So a more sophisticated questioner might ask: ‘If the universe needs a cause, then why doesn’t God need a cause? And if God doesn’t need a cause, why should the universe need a cause?’ In reply, Christians should use the following reasoning:

1. Everything which has a beginning has a cause.1
2. The universe has a beginning.
3. Therefore the universe has a cause.

It’s important to stress the words in bold type. The universe requires a cause because it had a beginning. God, unlike the universe, had no beginning, so doesn’t need a cause. In addition, Einstein’s general relativity, which has much experimental support, shows that time is linked to matter and space. So time itself would have begun along with matter and space. Since God, by definition, is the creator of the whole universe, he is the creator of time. Therefore He is not limited by the time dimension He created, so has no beginning in time—God is ‘the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity’ (Is. 57:15). Therefore He doesn’t have a cause.

This question is like a creationist asking an evolutionist...if man came from apes then why are there still apes? (which is an argument for another time on why creationists should never give this as a question to an evolutionist to argue.)

In Summary

* The universe (including time itself) can be shown to have had a beginning.
* It is unreasonable to believe something could begin to exist without a cause.
* The universe therefore requires a cause, just as Genesis 1:1 and Romans 1:20 teach.
* God, as creator of time, is outside of time. Since therefore He has no beginning in time, He has always existed, so doesn’t need a cause.

You could also ask the same question of science with the "Big Bang" theory. If there was nothing in existence then what caused the "Big Bang".

I like it the way one preacher told her science professor in college. There was a "Big Bang" and it was the voice of God.

The Bible says that God has always existed and I believe that the very existence of the earth and universe as we know it proves that. Everything is created absolutely perfectly.

In one of Darwins books he stated that if any part of his theory was proven wrong then his theory of evolution would crumble. One example of this is in Complex Organisms. He stated that organisms evolved one part at a time. Those organisms that have an advantage will continue to evolve and others will cease to exist. There are many organisms that cannot evolve one part at a time because the entire organism is needed in order for it to function properly. One example of a complex organism is the eye. The eye is so perfectly designed that if a single part of the eye does not fuction properly then the entire eye will not function as it was designed to do. There is no advantage to an eye that does not function therefore it would not have evolved any further than the first stage of it's evolution. The entire could not have evolved at the same time. There are many other cases just like this one.

There is so much that science cannot explain. But yet many scientist deny the existence of God while there is a select group of scientist who acknowledge that God truly exist. There are scientist who were once atheists who now believe that there is a God because so much of the evidence in the universe point to Him.

The Bible, says that "God's ways are not our ways." While there is so much that we cannot understand about God there is a lot that we can know about Him and it comes through prayer and reading the Bible.

Anything finite needs a creator. Something that existed from an infinite long of a period of time in the past to an infinite amount of time in the future doesn't need a creator or for that matter a destructor. Purely by definition, God doesn't need a creator.

However, a universe that is finite in both time and space absolutely needs and had a creator.

Who said that Christians say everything needs a creator? God, the father, was, is, and always will be. It's as simple as that. He created the universe and everything in it, but He is not part of it. This is one of the reasons God transcends us, and it would probably surpass our understanding to know.

Have you ever heard the philosophical statement, "I think, therefore I am" ? In my opinion, God has always been. Since He created time, He is not bound by it. Therefore, He exists outside of time. He thinks, therefore He is. The question you ask is a question that most Christians have asked themselves. And it deserves an honest answer. The problem is, we don't know the answer. So, we take a leap of faith and believe that God has always existed and was created by no one other than Himself. There are many things that we cannot scientifically prove about God. But He said that the righteous shall live by faith. So, by faith we believe in Him. And once we have believed in Him by faith, He begins to reveal Himself to us in more tangible ways. I can honestly say that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is a real Spirit. Because after I took the leap of faith required to believe in Him, He did reveal Himself to me in various tangible ways. So, just like I can say that, no matter what anyone else believes, my husband exists and is real because I see him and talk to him and he talks to me; I can also say that God exists because I have met Him. He talks to me and I talk to Him. It's totally real. Nobody could convince me otherwise. Just like nobody could convince you that, at this very moment, you are not reading this. Who created God? He did. The first time He had a thought, He came into being. No one knows when or where or how this happened except Him. Sometimes, you have to believe things that you can't see. Just like you can't see electricity with your eyes, you know it exists because you can see the effects of electricity, i.e. a spark, or a machine running, or lightening striking. I realize there is a lot of redundancy in my answer, but hope you can gleen something out of it anyway. Peace.

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;;And there is none like unto Him. -
that is He. He to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: no son has He begotten, nor has He a partner in His dominion: it is He Who created all things, and ordered them in due proportions.
got it ? .. but this is what written in Holly Qura'n
The Exalted One says that He defies definition: "... nothing at all is like Him" (Qura'n, 42:11). Moses, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?" (Qura'n, 26:23). Moses answered by saying that He is "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old" (Qura'n, 26:26). There is no way to know Him by defining "what" He is; rather, one can get to know the proofs of His Existence, Might, Knowledge, Wisdom, Mercy and His being the Creator of everything.
The Praised One has said, He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent, and He has full knowledge of all things. (57:3) Everything is to perish except He. (28:88
Anyone who asks when His existence came to be implies that there was a time when He did not exist, i.e. that void preceded Him. He is not "preceded" by anyone, nor is He "succeeded" by anyone. His continuation is above being tied to time. His existence is too holy to be dependent on time;

God has always been...since the beginning of time-

John 1:1
[ The Word Became Flesh ] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

--God has always been and his plan for salvation has always been!

Job 11:7
"Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?

--God is awesome! ( I know its hard to understand, sometimes when I try to think back at how God has always been its hard for our human minds to grasp- but it is so!) And I praise Him!

Romans 1:20
For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

patdaddy27:
Sorry, but you're the one who claims the eye is perfectly designed. Personally, I use glasses because my eyes are the wrong shape.

If you take away the lens, the eye still works, just not as well as before. Many people actually live without lenses in their eyes, and still have use of their eyes. They might not be able to read a newspaper, but they can see an oncoming car and avoid it.

Not only is the evolution of the eye feasible, it has been demonstrated in computer simulations. There are many different kinds of eyes that have evolved independently in nature (for instance, the eye of a squid). The eye does not present a problem for Evolution.

I'm sure there are many examples like this one, but just because there is someone like Michael Behe who says he can't figure out a way for it to have evolved, doesn't mean someone else can't. He actually needs to prove that it is impossible, rather than just tricky to find out.

Christians do not say that everything needs a creator, just that everything ( and everyone except God ) was created. God is self- existent, self- sufficient, eternal, infinite, holy, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, all-good, all-wise, all-love, all grace, all-mercy, and always faithful. Get to know Him.

Great Question....I'd say the HYPER-GOD. It's like a monarchy...when the Universe comes to an end and collapses, there will later be a new universe where JESUS is "the Father" and he'll have His own son, and the whole process will re-occur in another dimension!
