It's easy to do, relaxing, and it's free! I love going for walks with my dog. It benefits me as well as her.

There are some people that can't exercise like regular people for health reasons so the only thing they can do is walk. Walking is cheat, easy and it's not hard on the knees like running is.

Because most people can do something else at the same time - like chewing gum or scratching their left ear. If you have to ask a question like this, I doubt if you personally are able to do any of those things - so it really is the only exercise for you. even wa?king involves thinking at the same time, so I wouldn't even try that in your case.

its easy and doesnt take alot of strength and endurance. most ppl can start out with this and build up. its hard to go below anything thats a walk and still be active. kinda like the bottom rung of a totum (spelling) pole and u can only go up
it also tones up ur legs after a while and engages ur core (abs). arms can be worked into it to just by swinging or holding something thats of weight.

Prtesumably cos it's easy and you can do it wherever with no equipment except trainers! I try and power walk for half an hour a day, and have just come back!

Because it's easy to do, and it's easier to do compared to running, especially if you're carrying a bit of extra weight and are unfit.
