Because Lexus' are glorified Toyota's.
you need the new BMW 7 series. The seats in it have a built-in air purification system for situations like the one you described.

Quite obviously you did not get the FDS! (Fart Detection System.) If you did not get the FDS option the poor vehicle has no idea that you ripped one. They have an aftermarket upgrade, but I think the "internal" sensor is a bad way to go. Best to check a junkyard for a seat that already has FDS installed, and plug the cable into the existing wiring harness. Poot out, window down. No Problemo! (There actually is a small problem with the FDS, but not subject to recall. If you have lots of change in your pocket, and shift your weight, or brake quickly, the window will start to go down. Even if it is raining. But, after the NOS (Noxious Odor Sensor) fails to send a "verify" signal, the window will realize it made a mistake, and slowly, quietly, go back up. Ready and waiting for the next ripper.)
