This guy that really like has shut down and told me to go out with other guy that likes me. He told me its not fair to me.... I told him I am not going out with this other guy cause I do not like him and it would be unfair to him....why is he trying to wreck our feelings for each other

how do you know for sure he wants this thing between him n you to work?? When he has told you to see another guy then it is more than sure signal that he's not interested anymore.
And "its not fair to you" dialogue is cousin of "its not you, its me" dialogue.
