I agree!
Do you know why they want to do this:
because they are truly unhappy and they know deep inside its the truth and they are trying to escape the truth.
Satan is helping them by discouraging us.
I don't let it get to me.
I know the truth and if I tell someone the truth and they don't want to accept it than I did what I could.
People will always have opinions and want to bash other people.
Just think Jesus could have proved he was Jesus at any point in time when he was destined to die for us, But He knew it was God's will.
So I think to myself-people made fun of Jesus and bashed His faith so you know we are going to go through it.
Thanks for stating it though!
God Bless you!

I'm not trying to be a smart-alec, but you answered your own question in the first paragraph you wrote when you spoke of everyone's opinions. People have a tendency to be overzealous to put it mildly when it comes to serving and living under the banner of their "interpretation" of the meaning of God's Word. These ideas are part of what constitute modern religion. Personally, I agree that it's wrong for people to proclaim one is better than the other until we KNOW which ONE is the right one! The Scripture does teach in John that there is but one Lord, one faith, and one baptism, therefore we are to abide by that ONE ideology that God ordained, not on some system WE create based on what WE feel! WE didn't inspire the Book, He did! It is my fervent hope that we all find righteousness that we can honestly be convicted of in God's Word instead of trying to beat people to death with what we THINK is right.

Everyones a critic.... Wether you see it or not, everyone talk about everyone elses religion. Wether it's christians, catholics, or athiest. Everyone is a Freakin Two face when it comes to this even myself. My Grandmother is a johovah's Witness, my Uncles are catholics... everyone is just looking out for them selves and what makes them feel good about themselves. Everyone breaks there religions beliefs all the time, but they always look for a loop hole to make them feel better... The point is everyone is wrong wether you like it or not... So if i talk about the next persons beliefs it does not make a difference cause im sure they done it before to one way or another.

people can be jerks, i see things from the opposite side. I am agnostic or aetheist, i go back and forth, i am happy for religious people, but i can't believe in god , just can't. When i help an old lady with her groceries or hold the elevator for someone and they say "god bless you" i just thank them. Its considered very "okay" to try to convert people to religions and talk openly about faith, but on the one or two rare occasions i talk openly about what i believe i get hushed by friends and family "Dude, you'll offend someone" Religious people can talk openly about their beliefs without worrying about offending someone, why cant anyone else? Why am i the only person at parties that just smiles and nods when people talk about Jesus or Muhamad.
If someone offends you , don't take it personal, they are frustrated. Ask yourself howmany people you might have offended in your lifetime.

Look I don't wish to sound arrogant, but anybody that believes in the creation theory against a ton of solid scientific evidence is not playing with a full deck.
Now you may say I am being derisory, but if I was psychiatrist I would have legitimate argument and may wish to use softer language, but it would all mount to the same conclusion.
I have met many religious converts over the years, and I have seem them jump from being members of every political party to being members of various faiths. It is the same for drug users and harden criminals who turn to religion and confess they have seen light. The light as they put it is the one in their heads. In my opinion they have had some form of mental breakdown and have become easy pray for the church.
There is nothing wrong in this, and I don't wish to belittle anybody, but your religious one liners is a simple cry for help, and its not people like me who are lost, but you, you simply dont exist in the real word with all its horrible problems, and you cant face up to this reality, thats why you hide behind a falsehood.

Freedom of speech is both good and bad. Its good to be able to freely express yourself; however, we are sometimes exosed to opinions that offend our senses. Personally I do not discuss politics or religion unless I am speaking to a politician or a religious figure (not excluding my wife). They are my personal beliefs and unless you have specifically asked I wouldnt bore you with them. So if what you read upsets you then you have to make a choice. Be upset or simply move on with your life.

We atheists could care less if you believe in a god, as well. But do you have any earthly idea how badly we are discriminated against in this country for not sharing your belief?
I'm guessing you don't.
But before you begin decrying people that you feel are somehow "abusing" you... you are not a minority, and you are not discriminated against in the slightest. The religious right rules this country, and abuses people with that rule every day.
So if you see a few folks like myself coming on here and calling your religion what it is... you have absolutely no right to complain.
If it offends you that badly, then you'd best move along.
Edit - Just take a look at the thumbs down I get for even saying this.... You think your views are looked down upon? :)
I really hope you learned something here today..

It works both ways. Ive seen things posted from religious people that ive found offensive to non believers.
Either say something to the person concerned,or let it go over your head and don't bother about it.

I agree with you. If everyone will just believe in their own faiths, be good followers, and leave each other alone, this world will have much less conflict. People should REALLY start to let go of their attachments of their ego.
