I have a three year old daughter that really wants to go to Disneyland. I think that she is still to young, and that five or six would be better. When she is a little older she will get more out of it, and remember it better, plus it is very expensive. Should I just suck it up and take her now, and then again. Or is it better to wait, save up more money and have a really good vacation in a few years?

save up more money and have a really good vacation in a few years, plus like you said, she'll remember more and get more out of it.

If you can afford it now, why not bring her there now?

She might not remember it clearly, but when she's older, she'll have a vague memory that she had some wonder time with her dad. If you're really that particular, take more videos and pictures.

What if a few years later the Disneyland gets price-jacked or bombed? Wouldn't that be more traumatic than your kid not being able to remember spending time there?

Have fun!

In my own personal opinion, being a 14 year old, I think you should wait and she'll likely be grateful when she is older. I've photos of seemingly-amazing holidays that I went to when I was about your daughter's age and I've no recollection of anything at all from them whatsoever *Tear* Having been to America however three years ago, I absolutely loved it and I actually remember going there this time; and I'm grateful I didn't miss such an experience through a lack of memory had I gone when I was a toddler.

I think you should wait until she is older because you don't want to run the risk of her being able to remember the experience or not. Myself, personally, can not recall a lot of things before I reached the age of five. There are plenty of other cool spots that are for children that she can enjoy because Disney can be costly just for a child not to remember the time spent there. Keep up the good work of being a father that is truly interested in his child's happiness. I know it is hard to say no to your princess but the most important thing is that you are there for her.

You should wait. She will get more out of it (and remember it) and so will you. Disneyland is a huge place. If you go now what you will remember most is the exhaustion from carrying her and all her necessary stuff around. She is also likely to get tired and cranky before you have done all you wanted to do and you may feel like you have wasted your time and money. Small children are also often afraid of the costumed characters, they are huge.

If your always going to be thinking about the money your never going to do anything for your daughter. Your daughter is about a good age to go to disneyland and trust me she is going to remember it and it's going to be a dream come true for her. Then later on in the years you can take her again, but she is older. It's worth seeing the happiness and smiles in her face and your going to be so happy to see her happy. She won't be the only one having fun because you'll have fun too. I just went a month ago with my husband for our 1st year anniversary and we had so much fun. It wasn't that expensive because we bought the tickets for one day and stayed at a good neighbor hotel instead of one of disneyland hotels because those are expensive. Instead of buying food there you can take food with you in a bag pack and then buy her a ice cream there. She is going to have so much fun. I'm 23 year old, if I had fun imagine her. She only 3 years old but she is going to have so much fun.

I have a 3 year old son. I will not take him to Disneyland until he is at least 7 years old. It is a waste of money at that age. Wait and maybe take her for her 7th birthday.

Take her now and then again because a kids idea of a good vacation is doing something fun with Mom and Dad.
