First a definition, with symptoms..then the pathophysiology of it, and theories about it's origin. Next would come treatment options and effectiveness. There are broad categories of how aggressive the disease is, you might want to include that. Then come the anecdotal stories of people living with the disease. Don't forget the conclusion synopsis.

That should get you to a thousand or more words easily.
