car radio key code, enter code and WAIT appears?

Hi,

I recently replaced my car radio, and lost the key code. after much agrevation I got the code. I enter the code press "ok" and then the screen reads WAIT, for ten minutes then the screen goes back to reading code, I enter it again and it reads WAIT once more, this repeats every ten minutes. It is the factory installed radio for mercedes kompressor.
Can you offer any advice?

TAKE IT BACK TO THE MANUFACTURERS AND TELL THEM ITS FAULTY AND YOU WANT A NEW ONE!!
