I FIND THAT TERRIBLY INSULTING.

I DO NOT GO AROUND TELLING YOU GUYS WHAT TO BELIEVE IN AND FILL YOU IN WITH MY OWN IDEAS THAT IS INSULTING. DON'T YOU THINK THAT YOU GUYS SHOULD TONE IT DOWN?

CHRIS P... is not a thing of who is right or wrong. i always respected everyones beliefs as far fetched as they might seem. i do not care wether i am wrong or right, i just want ppl to respect the fact that we are all different.
i will listen to ppl opinions of course, but i would not challenge or question them, as from my past experience it can hurt ppl.

i don't mean to offend anybody here, just for you all to get my point and answer how you feel.

Let me explain this. As a Christian it is my duty to present the Gospel to you and everyone else. However, I don't think it should be as vehement as you let on like it is. If you have been witnessed to by a very dogmatic individual , I am sorry. I can't answer for them.

I would like to suggest only one thing. In order to find out where Christians get this zeal, then just try reading just the New Testament of the Bible. This will help you understand our point of view.

It is not our wish that anyone should go to hell nor is it God's. You have a right not to believe. That is your choice. You will face people in every walk of life. Some will try to lure you into false religions and others will try to convince you to be saved and others will lead you in a path to corruption. It is your choice which one you will take.

I hope that you will at least think about being saved and what it can mean in the future.

These people most likely love you and want to be sure you will end up where they will be when you cross that great divide. The only problem for you is-- you NEVER know when that could be. Life can be gone in an instant, then you will never have that chance. There will be no getting through once that door is closed. We just went through an earthquake, and even though there were still seconds--my thoughts were to check on my boys therefore if the roof had caved in or ?---there is no time to plan, you just react! In your case-- be safe and prepared, it will give you a deeper understanding and humbleness which is admirable beyond!

Every one has the right to believe in God, and to live their lives doing his will. But no one should force someone to believe in something they don't want to. God gives all of us free will. These people just want to help you, and share with you what they have learned. Maybe they are a little to exited. The reason being is, that God is only giving us a short time to change now. The bible for tells of a time when all badness will end on the earth. In Revelation chapter 16:1-21, it speaks of God's war Har-Magedon. People just want to be helpful. It is your choice to make, but I would hope that you reconsider. God is not one to be mocked, he will act soon. About hell, the bible calls it the place where the dead go, it is not a place of torment like many believe. Why would God say "that when we die, our sins are forgiven." Then burn us up for all eternity, that does not make any sense. In Ecclesiastes 9:10 it tells us that we know nothing in She'ol { the common grave}. We are not burning there. Why would Job want to go to a place of torment, when he was sick and thought he would die? Job 14:13. Maybe it is your unanswered questions that keep you from wanting to believe in God? Or the wrong answers. Don't let miss quoting of the bible stop you from wanting to know God. Search for the truths yourself, than decide.

Gosh... I'm sorry your experience with Christians hasn't been good. I don't believe that anyone should become a christian unless they feel in their heart that something is drawling them to it.
Anyone who doesn't want to be saved can't be saved because their heart is not ready. And anyone who try to insist you should believe what they believe is wrong.
It's not a Christians job to "judge" but to show love without condemnation.
The problem is that a lot of ppl who say they are christian are in a panic and that's why a lot of them are acting desperate. They've lost faith because they are NOT trusting God to leave their concerns in His hands and let Him do His job.

Do I wish you are saved and believe in Jesus? Yes. Should you or will you be saved? I don't know...that is between you and God. Why do we "preach"? Merely to spread the Gospel as we are instructed to do. I remind people of the mean to be saved...but I don't force people to be saved. If any Christian want to force the idea or "saved soul" onto you, they got the idea wrong. You see, been saved is not determine by you or me or any human being, but actually is an act of Grace from Holy Spirit, and that will only happen if you were elected even before the world was created. The only problem, I don't know God's plan for you and therefore, as a Christian, I have to assume that you are one of the elected human to be in His grace. Thus, we constantly "remind" people the means, but we should not force one to be "saved".

Jesus said, "No man comes to the Father but by Me." Don't take it like people are trying to impose something on you. Take it that they want to lead you to a better life. Since I became a Christian, God has brought me through many hard times, even saved me from death. I know I'd be dead today if I wasn't a Christian. And to add to that, my best friend's son put a gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger and is alive today with no brain damage. God did a miracle for her, too. As far as hell goes, I don't know what it is. But all I know is because I believe and walk with Jesus I'll never have to find out. Play it safe girl. It's the best thing I ever did.

People don't share the news of God to insult you they do it out of love for you. Let me ask you something, are you 100% sure that what you believe is correct? And if what you believed were not correct would you want someone to tell you or just let you be hurt? If you say that you are absolutely sure that what you believe is right, I would like to know how you know that.

I'm sorry you've been insulted by uncaring and ignorant people. I have a personal and loving relationship with Jesus Christ because I chose to a long time ago. I didn't choose to accept Him as my Savior out of fear of going to hell, instead I was drawn to His unconditional love for me. He loves me (and all of us) just like we are no matter what. I need that kind of love and I draw strength from it daily.

I think one should be careful telling anyone that they are going to hell. God is looking for people to become His expression on this earth. He stands at our door (to our heart) and knocks , if anyone opens He will make His home there. This is why it is so important to receive the Lord. Once He is in your heart He can move on this earth. He uses our mouth for His Word

As an agnostic, I find it insulting as well when others (Christians and other believers) do not respect my beliefs as I respect theirs. You will always encounter people like this in your life, unfortunately. Not everyone is like this. Some people in this world are actually tolerant. Try to surround yourself with friends who are tolerant of your beliefs.
