I have been this doctors' patient for 4years now and he has been divorced for 2years now. Recently he called and asked me to pick up his kids from their coachs house and keep them at mine until he get back from his trip. Just last week I was in a financial bind and I called and asked him for some money and he gave me $400. During Christmas he buys presents for my children and also for their birthday's.

I think a very strong relationship is building here. Both of you have kids, and gifts too. He did just get out of a divorce though so you might want to take it slow because the divorced seem like the hardest to make a commitment again you know. Just make sure he is ready and he doesnt feel like you are rushing him. He may just want an uncommitted relationship you never know but from what you say sounds good to me.

I sort of think this is inappropriate behavior for a doctor/patient relationship so you must have left out something important like....SEX???? Honey, the man is a doctor. He can probably have just about any woman he wants. Maybe he's being nice to your kids because he only needed a babysitter. You didn't say he was giving you gifts, did you? I would ask him if he considers you an employee or something else. Are you the part-time Nanny? Get it straight or he just may be using you.

It definately sounds like more than a Dr./Patient relationship.

Has he ever ask you out in the past two years or do you just use each other??

I wonder if he makes it a habit to have relationships with other patients? You'll probably never know. Cross the line once, feel the shame, cross it twice, it becomes a game.

did you know that just from the relations you've written down he could get in serious trouble with his medical council because doctor patient professionalism.

But scratch that......consider asking him around for dinner or something just the two of you and ask him

He's walking a thin line. Not supposed to have personal relationships with patients.

Very odd. Has he taken you out on a date? If not, he just considers you a family friend and you do favors for each other.

sounds like a very good friend to me. don't rush anything, if he wants more i think you'll eventually find out. it's probably good for him to have a woman in his children's lives, too, especially if his ex is a terrible motherly figure..

sounds like he is interested. i mean, my doc doesn't tell me to pick up his kids from their coaches. you should talk to him about it. and if it's true, get it girl! nothing hotter than a DOCTOR :) (that is if the situation is good) :)
