Is it because they are exposed to so much violence that they are becoming numb to it? or is it lack of parents teaching them ways to handle situations. Or just lack of Christion morals?

Society has always had trouble dealing with it's problems,
because to do so would mean taking an honest look at oursleves.
It is difficult to cope with our own resentments over guilt trips
imposed on us regarding our sexuality. Abuse as children.
Anxieties over fears of Nuclear War, Judgement Day and punishment in hell!
Teens today are frustrated. And angry, and anger gives one
a false sense of POWER! Then of course, they take actions
that only cause them to LOSE CONTROL over their lives by
ending up dead or incarcerated.
The hope of a spirit within and that this world is not all there is, is the only way to reach them. But because of the self-righteous
and hypocrital way too many TEACH it. Too many REJECT it!

Well, its definitely environmental. More so-parental lack of responsibility. Too many parents leave it up to the school system to raise their children. What you see today among the teens is a direct result of public school nurturing. We began to lose the schools in the late 50's, they were lost by the 80's. There is no hope left for public education.

there are many changes in society which have caused many of these situations. believe there is a loss of respect for the authority of the adults from parents on up to teachers etc. if the adults had authority to correct the children then this might make a difference.

I think it is the lack of parents teaching them to have Christian morals.
No respect for God or his creation.
No respect for themselves.
No belief in the Judgment.
Not having to be responsible for their actions.

Children need to have a loving family and be carried to Church.

Christian morals support killing as long as it is not called murder. this has been made very clear on Y!A numerous times.

It is not that they become numb to it. the movies, video games, and actions of the federal government constantly reinforce the idea that killing is okay. Sex is dirty, but killing can be justified.

How else would they know how to resolve situations when all they see on the tv is killing, murder and dead bodies . Tv needs to clean up its act. We adults give them all the ideas.

It is because the parents are lazy! The parents should be the ones who stand trial.

I think it is because we're living in a nation founded under "Christian" principles. At least Christians keep saying this.

So those wonderful Christian principles are finally manifesting in our society.
