Prices go all over the place! It's mostly in the preparation and what dents or rust need to be fixed. More experienced people put down a better more even spray. Then the quality of paint used is a big factor too.

Most established body shops do a pretty good job. Price do vary!

The colour isn't a problem as any respray is done with paint mixed for the job and properly matched. £2k isn't far off what I reckon you'd pay for a decent job, assuming there's no rust or other body damage to be repaired in the price.

If you are after a proper job, as you would on a '99' car, expect to pay from £750 to as much as £2000 depending on the standard of work. Focuses are panther black met (gold flake) from the factory if that helps.

I always hear different stories about Maaco, but you can get your Focus resprayed for about $375 there. Anywhere else most likely will be more.

not cheap even more if its mettalic anywhere from 800+ for a decent quality job and if you do scimp and have a cheap one done you'll see the results are not very good, why does it need a respray

they usually cost atleast a few hundred quid, but it depends where you go most of the time. but going to the dealer to get it done would be the best idea as you know that the job is going to be done properly.
