There's a girl I like and she knows that I like her. We're in high school and I always walk her to class. Is it okay if I hold her hand when I walk her to class, to show that I'm serious about having a relationship with her?

Start by carrying her books. Walk her home from school...no matter how far away she lives. Have fun while you walk, jump in a pile of leaves together, talk about life when you were young & laugh.
My high school sweetie did this for me and the walk home has a 2 hour trek but man did we have fun. Did this for about a week when he offered to cook dinner for my family rather than just go home. That night we finally kissed.
Those walks home are some of the most treasured memories I have of high school, before everything got complicated when I bought my first car...we got lazy and didn't stop to smell the roses anymore.
First & formost though...be a gentleman and honest. If you walk by a place that has a sad memory...tell her about it. She will appreciate your honesty and want to know more about you.
