Kent! Kent, the Garden of England. From maritime coast to beautiful rolling countryside, Kent offers an ideal location. You will be enchanted by the Garden of England and its lush countryside, rolling hills and woodlands. Kent is a very 'English' County with picturesque villages, oast houses and a legacy of historic castles, stately homes and gardens. You will soon see why it is known as the Garden of England.
The saying ‘the Garden of England’ first came about when King Henry VIII’s fruiterer planted England’s first apple and cherry trees in Kent. The mild climate and fertile soils have long provided a rich environment for gardens and orchards alike. Kent is one of the few areas in England that has successful vineyards, again attributed to the mild climate. Even if gardening is not your thing there are plenty of other attractions in the Garden of England to keep you coming back for more. Medieval castles, idyllic seaside towns and villages and even the largest shopping mall in Europe will all vie for your attention in this diverse county. The Garden of England has delighted those that have visited since before the time of Caesar. Plan a trip to this easily accessible county, I'm sure it will not fail to please.

I've heard Kent is a nice place. There's the Bluewater centre and there's the sleepier parts of it which would be perfect for kids. Good luck finding a nice place!

i in my view take excitement in living in England, the climate is spectacular and the cities and geographical area are the two eye-catching. the only subject i stumble on in living right this is that a number of the folk are unfriendly/too caught up of their own lives/impolite yet all in all, i could say it grew to become right into a great place to stay!

that would depend on what your lifestyle is.

I beleive that yorkshire is a beautiful part of the country, but there is not much in the way of entertainment unless you live in a large town or are willing to drive for a while.

or ther is cornwall.

try having a holiday and then decide.

If you want an exciting hectic life, London is great, South West London preferably.

Otherwise Sussex/Kent or Sussex make lovely places to live, I can highly recommend them all!

Surrey is very nice. I live near Virginia Water, its all leafy tree lined roads but fairly expensive.

It depends on where you are now, how far you are prepared to move and what factors make up your idea of a 'nice' place.

I'd give London a wide berth though.
