Needs? Desires I'll go for but not needs. If you aren't a father yet this idea may be a bit hard for you to understand but if and when that day comes and your little girl walks up and says daddy I love you this much, holding her arms out as far as she can you will start to get the idea... Jim

Don't u think worship & love are real close together or at the very least on opposite sides of a very very thin line? To LOVE God as much as I do does definitely constitute as worship, I adore Him! I adore this world, these miracles, the goods & bads to understand the difference, my life & the loved ones He blessed me with. I would have a hard time NOT worshipping Him.. He is my heart & soul, I thank Him all the time, I don't know if that IS IN FACT worship, but I know it feels good to take a moment out of my day to say "Thank you Lord, thank you for everything!" The First commandment is thou shalt have no other Gods before me, that doesn't insinuate we may or may not worship, I just know I love Him, and the whole idea that is LIFE!

You're right about the message but I think you're missing the out workings. We are to first "LOVE" God then also everyone else. So how do we "love" God. Well scripture says that we show our love to him through our obedience to what he has said (which is scripture). So what has God said well one thing is to "WORSHIP him in sprit and in truth". God is holy and is worthy to be worshiped and praised for who he is and he commands this from those who truly loves him.

Yes love is the answer and the word says God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth for the Father seeketh such to worship him.therefore you are wrong on God not wanting worship.....he is searching for it through our searching for the truth.

God is love. And worshipping God is humbling self before a Mighty God and loving God back. In all things give thanks for this pleases God. Another act of worship is serving God. Doing something that God asks you to do.
God is Love.
Ego is thinking me, me, me. Sometimes we need to be healed so giving concerns about self to God is important. Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you.
But God said I AM, Always Existant. Ego also puts self or Idols above God. Worshipping God, loving God is just thanking God. Ego exalts self above God, usurping God's place.

Worship is not for God. It's for the believers to stay close to Him.

God has no ego? You can't mean the god of the bible. He demands worship, he calls himself vengeful and jealous.

Jesus isn't in his grave. He walked out of his grave and is now at the right hand of the Father.

Ask every prophet of every religion. Humans are great at screwing up simple messages with complex rituals. I thinkit's funny.
