If not, then why would he show up to an anti-"Global Warming" rally with a motorcade consisting of 3 motorcycles, 2 limousines, and a Dodge Ram pick'emup truck?

Alternative fuels must be for the little people.

It's not all or nothing, but... Jeez, for a man who's trying to convince the rest of us that the combustion engine is the single greatest threat to the planet, he sure isn't doing much to set the example. I would have recommended one vehicle rather than five.

Rob: Read it again, especially the paragraph that talks about Prop 87, which is designed to tax oil companies and put the money into energies that don't cause "Global Warming." If you still can't find it, read it yet again.

Steve, the military is still all-volunteer. Al Gore, by contrast, wants laws passed to force us into choices that we would not have otherwise made voluntarily, and all for a dubious purpose. He clearly did not listen to the message of his own movie.

TXSup: You made up the part about the Prius. It's nowhere in the article. Nice tap dance, though.

Good job on calling them out on it. If the global warming nuts want to make a change why don't they walk to work and drink from earth safe cups? They are the biggest hypocrites ever.

You neglect to say Gore drove a Prius which gets between 80 and 100 mpg. As to the other vehicles that accompanied him: motorcycles are very fuel efficient, 40-60 mpg, and the Ford F-150, at mpg 16/20, is one of most economical in its class. Limos carry more than one person, the number of passengers transported would enter into the efficiency calculation. Two limos 3 motorcycles and a pick up truck -- this is transportation for 16-20 people. Could these have been the vehicles carrying other speakers at this rally, and the bikes for security? Could the limos have been necessary for security reasons? This is very likely!

As to your implied premise - that Gore is discredited as an advocate for reducing emissions, or for increasing the gas taxes because certain vehicles accompanied him to an event-- this is nonsense. And the facts show he most likely used a minimum amount of fuel, just as he advocates.

But right off the bat, you lose your credibility when you fail to mention that Gore drove a Prius.

Should minutiae sound the death knoll for any idea? (knoll - to ring or toll a bell for; announce by tolling). I don't think so.

specific Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn at the instant are not closer to the solar than the Earth that's actual by way of a similar token Jupiter and Saturn are gasoline giants (i.e.) they don't have ice caps in any respect, and by no skill did. Mars southern pole is reducing, reason unknown, it extremely is been placed forward by way of a million Russian scientist that this proves the solar is the reason, basically subject is not one of the satellites that video reveal the solar (and characteristic for 30 years) tutor this boost in output And as for locating approximately worldwide warming from "David de Rothschild" I had by no skill heard of him till now this question.

I won't say anything about the 'global warming' thing - I've seen too much from both sides to realize it is all political - besides, If these "scientists" can't even give me an accurate week's forecast, can I really believe a 99 year one? Any way as far as Gore goes, he learned from the best politician of all time Bill Clinton. It doesn't have to be true, you don't have to support it or believe it as long as you know how to sell it....and he sure is trying to sell it.

While I agree with Gore, I also agree with you. Most politician's including Bush are in these vehicles.

However, the majority of people with big trucks live in the city and I can't understand why people have SUV's that never use the 4-wheel drive. People are more worried about their image than the environment.

By this same logic, you must expect George Bush to pick up an M-16 and head into Baghdad, or for the Pope to have never told a lie or had an impure thought.

Attacking the messenger rather than the message is truly a sign of desperation.

Show some respect to the VICE hero-in-chief.
Love you AL. I REALLY love you. Next time Tipper is out of town I'll go to the PETA rally with you. I think they are trying to get an owl out of a tree and I think we need to be there.

I do! I don't think most liberals believe 90% of the tripe they peddle.
If I had any respect for them at all, I'd lose even that if they DID believe it.
