i hope that you can answer my question.... so this morning i woke up to my roommate having sex.....she's fat and ugly and ugh....i just can't stand being in the same room as her when she is having sex. she's like 2 inches shorter than me and probably 200 pounds more than me. so, what am I supposed to do in that situation. i sat in my bed pretending to ignore everything....what was i supposed to do....just get up and leave??? i think i'm going to tell her that if she needs the room again then ask me to leave....even if i'm asleep cuz i'd rather be woken up to the question to be asked to leave than be woken up to them having sex.....yuck!

You need to set limitations on that. When I was in school, my roommate and I had a deal. If she wanted to have sex in the middle of the night, she would have to go somewhere else with her man. If I was out, and she wanted to have sex in our room, she would leave a hair tie on the door handle, that way I would know to stay away. Be sure to set rules that you can both abide by, to avoid embarrassing situations. Good luck!

Aww :( Well that's okay, I'm sure there are other people in college who are in the same position! I personally don't want to be in the same position though, sorry. I'm 18 and heading off to college next year, well, this year if you think about it haha. And I don't have a proper job as well. I'm not sure if you would count babysitting as a job. I want to work because I'm poor, my parents are poor, and i need money for car insurance. I'm currently in the process of looking for a job too so I can get some experience, and money of course haha. Yeah like someone said, try looking at a help wanted ad in the paper. Or type in "part time jobs in (whatever city and state you live in)" and apply to those jobs online. also you can personally go into the local stores near your house and ask if they're hiring! Good luck!! :)

Get a webcam and stick her on the internet. That will either get her to find a different location or at the very least you will get some compensation for your discomfort.

Tell her that it makes you uncomfortable and that when she needs the room, that she can ask you and you will gladly leave for 2 hours.

I don't understand why people want to share a room with a stranger. I would try to get my own room, or get a place off campus.
