If it were, what difference does it make to you? Unless you are engaging in gay activites, you should not FEAR what other people do in the privacy of their own lives.

No. Homosexuality occurs elsewhere in nature, especially within the mammalian community. Look at our genetic cousins, chimpanzees and monkeys.

The argument that because homosexuals cannot impregnate each other gay marriage is somehow unnatural lacks merit because that would mean a marriage involving an infertile spouse or the marriages of those beyond child bearing age are against nature. Since there has been evidence of homosexual activity for millennia, it seems that it may be more in human nature than a violation of any alleged "rule of nature."

It isn't against nature. Even animals do this. The only people who are against gay marriage are the religious people. And if someone isn't of their religion, then they have no right to force their beliefs on anyone else. The only reason they can come up with is "It goes against God" Well, then the people that believe that are the ones who should follow that. If they think it is against Gods wishes then all they need to worry about is themselves!! Not what anyone else is doing.

I don't know about "violation"...ok, it does violate the laws of nature in a sense being it is unnatural and unreproductive. So, yeah, I guess you could say that. Of course, you're gonna get all these "unnaturally afflicted" people in a row with this question. They refuse to believe that they have psych/head issues and will make up bullcrap about "homosexuality" existing in nature. If anything, the homosexuality that does occur in nature is to humiliate or dominate another animal, especially in the case of alpha vs. beta males...

The only "rule of nature" is one brought up by religious fanatics who are told what to say and believe as a direct result of someone standing in front of them week after week dictating that same sex marriage is wrong. Personally I am not a lesbian / gay, but see nothing wrong is two people of the same sex in love or in marriage. If it floats their boat, why must we all as a nation condemn them? It's not up to us as people to do this, it's up to whatever God you believe in.

Same sex marriages are sanctioned by rule of law not nature.

I don't feel that it is a violation of nature as long as everyone didn't turn out to be full blown homosexual and won't have sex with the opposite sex.

The most important issue to consider in your question is the seperation of church and state. Though the bible may speak out against homosexual relationships (not that I believe God hates anyone or would make someone gay and then punish them for it) our constitution grants all people equal rights.....and that goes for the homosexual community as well. As a footnote, I have been reading recently about gay animals.......or are the gay bashers going to say they made that concious choice as they accuse human gays of doing?

well, unless you are overly religious and considering entering such a thing, don't worry about it. not really your problem or mine. Let those with same sex marriages worry about if it is a violation of nature.

i wudnt think so.! rule of nature, if i rmmber it right is , not just to procreate but being happy and harmonising with nature. if same marriage sex is bringing that to someone, it should be considered in accordance with the so called rule of nature!

Same sex marriage is a violation of natural law because a man cannot be impregnated by another man.
