I died my hair blonde once but it went ginge, everyone laughed and said i smelt of wee!

I have red hair, and I hate it. So, I have it highlighted and then I don't mind it. It's not ginger ginger, but my cousin in ginger ginger and I can spot him a mile away, as he looks like a pelican crossing from a distance, especially when he needs a hair cut. My other cousin has red hair too, but it is more of a strawberry blonde/red and its really nice.
I remember when I was at my friends house once, and this kid called me Ginger Minge, and his dad over heard him. He came in and asked him, if he even knew what it meant and he said No, so that was even more funnier than being insulted. Lol.
One good thing, at least red heads don't go grey, not in my family anyway.

Absolutly nothing. Ive been ginger all my life and have never tried to dye or hide my hair. Nobody has ever dared to make a joke out of it, but maybe thats because redheads have a fiery temper and the bigots are cowards. Id rather be ginger than have to put up with all the dumb blond jokes.

Nothing wrong with being ginger in my opinion. All these jokes and remarks about it, seems in England there is a real issue with it but I cannot figure out why. I don't think you would see this issue people have in other countries, I am from NZ and we don't give them a hard time at all!

It has to be the freckles and the fact that you do burn in the sun. I have red hair and I love it - it is dyed though. Again it's just people being prejudice - ignorant really - it's their problem, absolutely nothing wrong with being ginger or bald or fat or skinny or anything else that THEY say isn't cool. Who decides what and who is cool anyway as long as you are happy in your skin F**K them all that's what I say. There is more to worry about in this messed up world than that crap! Enjoy life you're a long time dead remember that.

Its unfortunate if you are ginger as you are far more likely to be burnt by the sun.

I don't think there is anything wrong with being ginger, I don't have ginger hair but I think ginger is quite a nice unique colour. It's more unique than other colours... :)
