I see it like this.If I were a car salesman and my product was defective,I'd put pressure on you to convince you (even though I KNOW it's defective).I'd show you all of the written reviews,ad campaigns and throw every pitch at you.I would try in every conceivable fashon to convince you that what I'm saying is right.
Or look at it this way.I've just cheated on my wife.I know it's wrong.I do everything in my power to justify it because I can neither change what I've done nor that it's wrong.
People accept fiction as fact all of the time.You can see it in every forum on YA.
If I'm asking a question on YA yet have a preconceived notion about what is correct I may in fact choose the worst answer as best,simply because it fits into what I believe.I will then continue to perpetuate this myth,misinformation or out right nonsense because now someone has strengthened my resolve on the matter.
You can never stop the preacher from preaching until you remove his voice.
Fact is noone can PROVE there is a God,so it's all speculation that essentially boils down to myth.
What happens if I start a church based on the Davinci Code,I now have a text to govern what I do is right,a handbook to base my views on.I may call it fact for "it is written".
So is what I just wrote.
