most people who have strep throat are so miserable they can barely get out of bed.

symptoms are:

-severely sore throat (even swallowing water hurts)
-there are white patches on the back of your throat
-high fever 102.0 or higher

it can be so severe that it even hurts to breathe b/c the air hitting the back of your throat irritates it so much

Do you have a history of Strep throats? If you get Step frequently you should have the antibiotic on hand to take with recuring infections happen as soon as you feel them coming on. Look in the back of your mouth and see if you have a white color in the back of the throat - If so go to the Dr and not school and get some antibiotics.

First of all strep is very contageous by drinking from someone, coughing around someone, germs from hands, etc...
Your throat will be so sore............sore to swallow, sore to talk
A doctor should be seen if you are this bad because he will put you on an antibiotic.........Hope you feel better !

The back of your throat is bright red, and swallowing is very painful. Also, the glands under your earlobes (moving down the side of your neck) will feel swollen. It's contagious, so don't breathe on anybody you like!

Usually you have white patches in the back of your throat but you should see a doctor for a throat culture to get medicine if you really do have it.

White spots on the back of your throat are generally a good clue. I had it once, but I didn't know what it was. I was basically incapacitated for four days.

When I had it I was so miserable that death would have been welcomed. Also, it was as if I had broken glass in my throught and even breathing was a challenge. Speaking was out of the question.
