What is a guys/girls idea of the perfect date? And how it differs from what women want!!!

The second part of the question:
I am engaged and my partners idea of taking me out is watching a football game at a sports bar on sunday and monday. Don't get me wrong I love football and watch my team everytime they play. But where's the romance? does it go away with football season? : ) I believe men and women may have different ideas about what is romantic.

my idea (female) is picnic or out for drinks, or dinner and movie, rockclimbing, ice skating, arcade games, beach day trip, etc - anything so long as the company is fun and makes me laugh.
...mind you i wouldn't complain about an exorbidently expensive dinner, limo ride and slow dancing with him ;)

My idea of the perfect date is simply alone time. I'd love to just chill out and cuddle next to a fire watching a movie at one of our places...nothing too extravagent, just simply being together.
