Lemons, half a lemon then dip and rub your elbows in them and I have a friend that bathes in vinegar -- she swears the acidity of the water gets rid of the excess skin (flaky), softens and lightens your skin. From what I can tell, it works.

I don't know about armpits, since hair grows there which precludes putting a bleaching cream on them. If you have dark hair, you'll need to shave the armpits more often to avoid a dark "shadow".

As for the elbows, there's an old, old remedy. Stick your elbow in a half of a squeezed lemon. The acid in the lemon juice has a mild bleaching effect. Or try bleaching cream on the elbows.

Go buy a face cream with the highest concentration of Retin-A.
Slather it on at night and sleep in it. It takes about six to eight weeks to work.
