They keep fighting because its what they do. If it isn't us its one of their neighbors or each other. The days without war in Iraq could be counted on both hands and maybe one shoe off since their recorded history. It is the way with religious zealots. If you don't believe actually the same way I do I must kill you in the name of "my god". Genocide is a common practice in many of the Islamic countries. The countries in the middle east with peace are the ones where all competitors have either 1. Been killed off. 2. Driven out of the country or far enough away as to be under the protection of forces that believe the exact same way as they do. In countries where religion is the state chaos reigns. When they see America they see a country of infidels who are thriving. Many of the Muslims have I've talked with in Iraq and Afghanistan truly have a live and let live attitude towards the US, and say the Koran says that is how they should feel. Others interpret the Koran completely differently. Death to all infidels. In Afghanistan the population that can read is probably under 10%. Its easy for Taliban to teach anything to the local population and say its straight out of the Koran. Look how many ways Christians interpret the bible. The Westboro Baptist Church just to name one of the more radical versions. Can they win? You would have to define "Win" a whole lot better.

i wonder myself. if they were to stop i am sure the USA would be out in a matter of months. first name mo-last name ron.and as far as winning or losing no one will. murder is part of the middle eastern culture and it has been going on for hundreds of years. i think they lack the mental ability to reason or apply logic that allah may want them to provide for their family and lift islam and not murder because they woke up in a bad mood. insurgents are stupid people and if coalition troops are there 100 years and then leave those morons would claim victory. peace to the peace lovers and may all others find GOD. if any prophet teaches differently he is a false prophet.

Spoken like a coward. Oh, wait a minute, it rather is in all likelihood the comparable source that stated no U.S. Troops have been in Baghdad or on the Bush worldwide Airport in Baghdad. it quite is beneficial to sweep up on English too, through fact you will might desire to be waiting to talk your resign efficiently to the U.S. troops freeing Iraq.

Because they want us to leave before the new government is ready to take control... then they can easily throw over the new government and make their own government...
they figure if they keep fighting the US public opinion will turn away from the war and they will finally win...
Then we'll have a regime worse than Saddam's in power over there....

The only goal of insurgents is to see that their interest group has the power in Iraq. Very different than the terrorists in Iraq who only want to "CREATE hate", and wish to keep the US engaged for as long as they can.

The U.S. is finding drugs on the insugents. They are now just a very large version of the Manson family. Give a large group of weapons and heroin and they will become destructive too. They have went to shooting at the U.S. soldiers to shooting their neighbors and drugs are the reason.

The US troops backed by all of us invaded their country. Right or wrong it's their home. Americans have a history of respecting the right to protect ones own home so, why are we still fighting them? I don't like the way they live and I don't back their human rights violations but Iraq didn't start this war, America did. There were no weapons of mass destruction and no link to the terrorists. We need to bring our young men home.

because they are insurgents is why they fight;and the only way they can win is if goody-two-shoes,like yourself, are successful in causing the U.S. to forget 9/11,and we leave.

The terrorists understand that the United States is waffling. They also know that Americans are adverse to lose of life. They are clearly stepping up their terror attacks for political reasons. Unfortunately, the neo-left has grabbed onto the “can’t win the war” attitude and the terrorist are loving it—they can smell victory.
