Here's the first thing my husband (now 23 years!) ever cooked for me. Little did I know it's about the only thing he knows how to cook besides eggs!!
1 can Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup white wine
Mix together in a casserole dish with some salt and pepper.
Tuck boneless skinless chicken breasts under the soup mixture (make sure they are covered) and bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour. Serve with steamed rice and a vegetable of your choice.

Here's the easiest sauce in the world!! Cheap, elegant and quick!! A can of cream of chicken, a little white wine (1/3 cup for a small can of soup) and add a little bit of shredded cheddar. While it is heating, bake off a couple of boneless, skinless chicken breasts and make some rice pilaf ( they sell it in any market) Plate up a nice bed of rice pilaf, chicken breast on top of that and pour sauce on top of that, top off with some parsley flakes or sliced almonds and serve with some steam or lightly boiled fresh broccoli--something that has great color and sip on that left over white wine! She'll think it took you hours!! If you are looking to get lucky--flowers and more wine won't hurt.

Spaghetti Carbonara.
2 eggs.
250 ml single cream
250 g diced bacon
250 ml parmesan cheese.
Spaghetti (enough for the two of you)
Place spaghetti in pot of boiling salted water and cook untill done.
Cook bacon and set aside. Mix eggs and cream with half of the cheese. Drain spaghetti and place back in pot. Mix the cream mixture with the spaghetti. The heat in the pasta will cook the eggs. Mix bacon in and serve with a green salad and the rest of the cheese.

Chicken Parmesan With Linguini
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (2 breasts, pounded flat)
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/4 cup canola oil
8 ounces linguini
one 26-ounce jar tomato and basil pasta sauce
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan or mozzarella cheese
Fill large saucepan wf water. Cover and bring to boil on high heat for pasta. Preheat large sauté pan on medium 2–3 minutes.
Whisk eggs and milk together in medium bowl. Place bread crumbs in another medium bowl. Dredge chicken in egg mixture and then into bread crumbs, pressing well to coat. Heat oil in pan, add chicken and cook, turning occasionally, 6–8 minutes.
Meanwhile, stir pasta into boiling water. Cook 7–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until al dente.. Pour 1/4 cup pasta sauce over chicken cutlets and sprinkle with cheese. Cover and cook 1–2 minutes until cheese melts.
Place remaining pasta sauce in microwave-safe bowl; cover and microwave on HIGH 2–3 minutes. Drain pasta and toss with pasta sauce. Serve chicken over pasta.
Serve with packaged salad blend (add cheery tomatoes & dressing), steamed asparagus or brocolli, garlic bread, bakery cannoli.

Place uncooked in pan with:
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
salt & pepper, thyme (1tsp. or so.), garlic,& a tiny bit of milk
simmer till chicken is fork tender.
There will be some good juicy gravy to pour over noodles.
I like broccolli with it. And rolls.
