Right.

First of all, it's a common problem and it's often not as noticeable as you think. I found I started to get dark circles when I didn't sleep enough - make sure you're sleeping at least eight hours a day, more if possible. You start noticing the difference in a few days time.

Secondly, have you tried the cucumber? If that doesn't work, try a cloth soaked with cool water just before you go to sleep. Don't make it too cold otherwise you won't be able to sleep and don't make it hot because, well, you'll burn yourself hehe.

If that doesn't work, have you been to a doctor? They can usually help you with these things and point you in the right direction if it's hereditary or cosmetic or something. At least you'll know if you're using the right cream for your condition. Or even if you have a condition.

Lastly, chin up and be confident :) If you can come across as though it doesn't affect you, it won't affect anyone else either. Any good person would thnk 'well if he doesn't care, why should I?'

//xx

Here are a couple of things that I have found to work...

1.) Topical vitamin K: apply (dab/blot, never rub) an under eye cream that contains vitamin K, this will help reduce the appearance of dark circles under your eyes.

2.) Raw potato: surprisingly this old home remedy does work. It's been said that potatoes contain an enzyme that lightens pigmentation therefore can be used to help reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. Basically, you cut a slice of a cold raw potato, halve it so that you have two half circle shapes and place each piece under your eyes for approximately 20 minutes.

Note: use as needed, however, take precaution as this or any other type of treatment may or may not dry out your skin over repeated use therefore a moisturizer may be needed and in most cases is recommended. Try and find a moisturizer that contains a firming agent as well. Such as creams containing retinol which helps boost collagen production in the skin therefore reducing the appearance of fine lines (crows feet). Also, vitamin B (particularly B5) is used in promoting healthy skin and nails.

Hope this helps which it should but getting the proper amount of rest each night and drinking plenty of water is irreplaceable. However, if all else fails you may consider using some type of makeup concealer to hide it or make it less noticeable, just a thought.

Best of luck to you.

Other things to consider; reduce your stress level, reduce your salt intake, keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of water and reducing your alcohol intake if applicable. Apply cool leftover tea bags (chamomile tea) on/under your eyes for approximately 10 minutes as well as drinking the tea which helps alleviate inflammation on the body. Plus some say applying the following paste around the eyes is helpful, paste ingredients: 1 tsp. tomato juice, 1/2 tsp. lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric powder, and 1 tsp. of flour.

Well, once again, I hope this helps and that you can find some relief from these products, remedies and/or any other product or remedy out there.

Regular skin care is required to maintain the area surrounding your eyes. Use a gel or a cream and rub it gently around the orbital bone. The orbital bone is the area that falls directly under the eye structure. Be careful not to rub harshly when you rub around the eye area. The harsh rubbing can only lead to more irritation.

Apply the cream to the skin and relax for sometime. If you have to put on a facemask, then soak the little cotton pads into the soap water and place it on the eyes when they are closed. Otherwise, you may use them around 2 cucumber slices to make your eyes cooler. In this way you can provide a pleasant feeling to your eyes. And you can get rid of your dark circles around your eyes quickly. Your skin will glow when these circles vanish.

Hi there, I have the same problem. The best thing to do to get those to go away is to ask your doctor about iron pills. The reason for the dark cirles is because you dont have enough iron in your system. I dont like my dark circles either but i try using conceler, and then put on some foundation ... use the a little bit of the liquid stuff, and then use the powder. Try and find a shade that is a little bit darker then your natural color! The reason for this is because your cirlces are so dark, you need to find something a little darker then your natural color to even it out!

Do you have any ethnic blood. It can be hereditary, my mum is from India and I have dark circles. Try touche eclat as an excellent light cover up. Also a white eye soft pencil on the inner rim of the eye brightens eyes up. And blusher brightens the whole face up which can help circles appear less noticeable.

Get yourself an eye cream. You need a decent brand such as Elemis/Decleor. You can order off QVC Website. Dark circles are hereditary though, but the creams should help.

My fiance used to suffer with this problem when I first met him. Are you getting enough sleep. Make sure you are, and drink plenty of water. I bought my fiance some cream which specifically targets dark circles under the eyes and this has helped immensly. You can get some in your chemist and their are loads of different well known brands you can buy. Failing that, cucumber is supposed to be good!

You are probably tired or, if you are from a mixed race relationship its quite normal to have dark circles under yoour eyes, its just part of your make up (from your parents not Max Factor LOL)

I"ve heard lemon juice dyes the skin a little lighter over time. But for now take your daily vitamins and use a concealer cream to blend into your skin-tone.
