My husband would kill me if I did anything "Unnatural". I was 280 lbs. I lost all the weight, but now I am struggling with the fact that my butt has lost it's shape. No roundness at the top. What can I do? I don't want it all muscular and hard either.

work out...walking, eliptical machine, lunges, leg lifts, etc. They will not make your butt too muscular... but yeah, twinkies and ho-ho's help if you want a fat butt... you can't change your shape... some people just hold more fat in the rear end than others... I have a flat butt, but from working out I have a cute little bump in the back!!! I thought it wasn't possible... Just except your butt I'm sure your husband loves it just the way it is.

You're so lucky you want a BIGGER butt! I want a smaller one. What you can do is "Leg Squats" Stand up, but keep your feet in the same position. Squat down, only bending your knees...and over time..your butt should get bigger! Or you could go to your local gym, and ask anyone there what machines work best on your butt. Look for the person with the biggest one and then follow what they're doing! Haha. Just kidding. But seriously, ask anyone there, I'm sure they'd know!

You want "shape," but you don't want it "all muscular and hard"? I'll assume you mean to an extreme since "shape" is determined by "tone" which is determined by muscle and firmness.

First - congratulations!

Unless you are geneticially predisposed to gaining weight in a particular body area, you can't really gain weight in a particular spot. If you are predisposed to gaining in the gluteal area - then increase your diet until you get the "necessary" extra.

Some good exercises for "bun" work:

1) stairclimber (better if you skip one step)
2) lunges (good toning) (take steps where one thigh is parallel with the ground, and the other knee touches (or better, "almost" touches) the ground)
3) deep squats (size) (squat thrusts, etc. - don't have to use weights)

good luck!

Squats.....You don't have to use weight. But using weight will shape it perfect, use light weight, and do 3 sets of 15 reps!!! Trust me, i work out and I know.....I've also been personal trained and I went to school for this! Also, do the elliptical on a hard level...say level 8 or 10. That will work your butt out good......but squats are a must!!!!!!!!!!
