Yes don't allow the definition of the guilt ridden theocracy's of the past rule your life .

Sin means "the transgresion of the law" in one verse it could be defined as "missing the mark" .

If you just realise that religion was mankinds first stab at government then you realise it was all man made and therefore subject to change.

The literal god inspired version of sin does not exist any where else but as an abstract in the minds of men planted there at a time when the child could not intelectualy fend for itself .

To avoid sin all you have to do is eliminate it or redefine it .

In the end what it means and what consequences it brings (besides the obvious phisical universe's rules) is up to you .

So re invent god (make him a nice person this time ) and then redefine the rest of it and you will find you have avoided sin and so forth very nicely .

We are born into sin and is with us from birth. So in that aspect no we can not avoid sin. However once we become a Christian we can make a choice to avoid sin (i.e. doing things we know is wrong) so in that aspect yes we can avoid sin

To avoid sin all we have to do is never lie, steal, never look at the opposite sex with lust in our hearts, never look at someone with hatred in our hearts, never blaspheme God's name, or the rest of the old testament. We can't avoid sin because we are sinners by nature.

No its impossible not to. Everybody "sins" every day whether intentional or not. I mean little things like judging other people ext. We all do, except i don't call it "sin" not being religious.

why would you want to, come on now life is about learning, how can we learn to make right choices if we do not make wrong choices, we were not born with the knowledge of right and wrong and god knows this. life is and always will be about learning like a school.
