How would you feel if the United States mandated Christianity as a state religion? Would you feel it was fair to non-Christians? What denomination should the government choose?

I would argue it even though I am Christian....Everyone has their own rights to worship as they see fit.

As a American and a veteran and a Christian I think it would be unwise to mandate that because we all have a choice. Like I said before Heaven or hell awaits those who don't believe. It makes us Christians stronger anyway. We can live with them why cant they be happy living with us. Heck we love them too that's why we discovered America in the first place. God gave us free will, what we do with it is our decision. The denomination I believe is freedom. Think about what we are fighting for anyway for a domineering religion in Iran. Its not Christian but freedom! Even as a christian or what ever you are freedom stands for itself. Why would anyone stand for ternary!

If that ever happened (and I doubt it will) I don't think it would be fair. We have Freedom of Religion, and that means you are free to practice any religion (excluding human and animal sacrifice). To make any religion a mandated state religion would repress the rights of those who do not believe in that religion.

I think FREE choice is just that.... I would love it if Christianity was a state religion but if others chose not to worship the Christianity GOD that should be their right

United States would never do that. I am a Christian and I know Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and He is my Personal Savior. I'm Southern Baptist, but being a Southern Baptist doesn't make me a Christian, believeing in Jesus Christ and getting saved makes me a Christian! I wouldn't go to another church, but I am a Christian, because I believe in Christ.

I am a USA citizen, our laws prohibit the government from telling us what religion to accept just as long as it don't harm someone physically, We have the Freedom of worship, even though I see only one way to worship God & that is in Spirit & Truth, Americans are free to serve God as they see fit. Myself I am Pentacostal.

Theocracy doesn't work - Christians know that.
The separation of church and state works best - just the way we have it. It protects the church as well...
But the U.S. system of government and the beliefs of the Founding Fathers were based on God's order of things.

What are we living in the dark ages? Hardly anyone in America would really take this ques. seriously. I'll tell you what, this country is founded on religious freedom and will remain the same as long as there is still Americans out there that are willing to fight for that freedom.

American freedom includes freedom of religion, which is the way it is & will continue to be,to think otherwise is absurd.
