Try looking up antiques shops in your area or auction houses, one of them should be able to help or at least give you further directions. In the meantime keep it under lock and key.

Even if you were to bring it to a jewelry appraiser they would probably tell you have **** try and buy it off you and then make 10 times as much as they bought off you. I say screw it and just keep the thing. Money is not worth everything.

if it is ming dynasty there should be some markings on it somewhere .then find the same markings on the net it will narrow down the date for you ...... if it a ming piece that belong to a person of high rank it will be worth alot if not you will do ok on it .you can always email me . that what i do l also have buyer for this kind of items and research team at hand ... davies.perry@hotmail.co.uk

You can send it to Christies international auction for appraisal. Search for their web site in the search engine.

i doubt it.. I highly doubt it.. but you could take it to a jewlery appraiser and they would be able to tell you if it was worth anything at all... anyone could tell you if it was worth a little money, and if a general appraisor will have the name of someone that could tell you where it's from
