I've been seeing this guy for a little while, he's really nice and quite cute too. I like him, but he sweats like a pig and doesn't know the meaning of 'deoderant'. Also, his breath stinks (yes, i kissed him). How can I get him to clean up his act without hurting his feelings or making him feel less?

WEll, if you really like this guy then you need to talk to him about it. If he doesn't try to change his ways then move on. There are plenty more fish in the sea who do know that good hygiene is a plus! Good Luck.

for the breath - brush 3 times a day and use mouthwash morning and night - in social situations use mints or the new wrigleys strips that melt on your tongue. for the BO - if its caused by excessive sweating go to your local pharmacy - they have roll-on antiperspirants that are super strong. Wash your arm pits every morning, use a splash of cold water at the end (to minimise the pores) . Dry them (better done with kitchen roll- if you use the same towels as the day before you can cross contaminate) , then spray with antiperspirant (try Sanex - its REALLY good) and finally put talcum power under your arm pits. This method will make you last most of the day without it being a problem. Never apply scents, sprays (other than antiperspirants) or parfum to the underarms directly as these can irritate the skin and make it worse. Try applying the scent to the outside of your shirt in this area - when you start to get hot it will be this other people smell first. Good luck.

Don't give up on him if you really like him. My daughter married a guy like that. First of all, deal with only one of the issues at a time, which ever one bothers you the most. I'd say the BO is probably the worst one since EVERYONE else probably smells him, too. Say something like, "Gee honey, you turn me on so much more when you smell like soap and cologne." That way you're not saying,"You're a dirty pig and you stink." lol And once he's overcome the first hurdle, then do the same with the breath problem. And if he won't overcome the first hurdle, then I'd say he's pretty set in his ways and he won't change. But don't give up on him just yet.

If you really like him, you need to tell him. You could say "I would love to kiss you more often and do you want to know how that would happen? I really like the smell of Axe Deoderant and Love how fresh and clean Aqua Fresh Toothpaste is. If you use these for me, you won't be sorry."

My boys use Axe and it smells terrific. Good Luck.

he may use deodarant etc... some people have a gland problem and no matter how much they use or even how much they wash their glands produce to much and it makes them stinky so maybe you should just talk to him about it and see whats really behind it....it may hurt his feelings for the moment but in the long run it could save any future you may have no one wants to be with someone who is stinky on purpose

Next time you walk up to him and he stinks, just say it out loud! Dude, you stink, aren't you gonna take a shower? He'll either take it lightly and shower, or be offended and you two will eventually break up. Either way, you win!

Wow, where did he grow up? Only one thing to do, talk to him about it (unless you are close to a male friend of his who you can trust to help you bring it up indirectly). One word of caution: if he has not even been able to learn these basic things, what else lies hidden in his past and personality? Proceed with caution.

Spray him with our perfume when he's not looking. Buy him cologne and share your gum with him.. Don't know what to do about the sweat part//

You should tell him tactfully. Offer him a mint, and if he says no thanks, say, no really, you need it...what's your alternative? you either have to drop him or live with a stinky BF--neither of those is a good option, so your only thing left is to tell him.
