There is no such thing as too many tattoos, assuming you can find a proffession that allows them, or still hide them if you cant.

If you have to hide them for a job, avoid the neck, and the hands. Where long sleeves. Theyre a lot more accpetable now than ever before.

I have 8 of them, and im only 20 (8 in two years!), i love the ink, it doesnt affect my job, and its a manner in which i can nonverbally express my own body.

Get what you like, what youre comfortable with, and what makes you feel good. Always think about it before you get it, and ask yourself, "how does this define me as a person?"

oh, and have fun! I love tattoos!

In my opinion, one! Unless it's small and unobtrusive. A butterfly on the wrist, or a heart on the ankle is okay. But I've seen some people whose entire body was tattooed. I thought it was pretty gross. If you're thinking of tattooing, make sure you want to be stuck with it for a long time, especially if you have the name of the person you're interested in, emblazoned on your chest, or whatever. There's always the possibility that you may team up with someone else, and that earlier tattoo will go over like a loud belch in the middle of a church sermon.

That's a personal choice that can only be made by the individual getting the tattoo's. I have 4 and will eventually get 1 more. Five will be enough for me, but some people are only just getting started with 5.

Depends who you ask because tattoos are a personal thing, therefore the answer will be personal as well.

For me, there is no such thing as too many tattoos. For others, one might even be too many.

One. If you get just one you probably regret it. Because most first tattoos are spur of the moment regrets. If you get more then one they look stupid with your shirt off because they always tend to have nothing to do with each-other, or have some lame *** story to them. And if you are covered that is just sad, because when you get old, you will wrinkle, and they will all look nasty or distorted. My advice is, don't get any, if you have just one and you like it, don't cover yourself with crap you have to live with for the rest of your life. Do you really want to explain to your kids why you have a picture of peter from the family guy sitting on the toilet next to a gecko under that trendy tribal tattoo you got?

I really don't think that it matters. It's how someone feels about the tattoo and if there is any special meaning to them from it. I only have 3 but I doubt very much that they will be my last.

I think it gets to be too many when they are no longer separate pieces of art, but sleeves and things that cover all of you. I think tattoos should be an accessory, not a whole new skin.

It all depends on the person. For a lot of people they are a form of expression. I have 6 right now and they all mean something, as I think of reasons to get more then I go out, find a design and get it done.
