First off NO I'm not pregnant! I've been this way for a long time. I remember in high school coming home school and eating two or three bowls of cereal before dinner just because, I wasn't hungry or anything. I just want to make sure there is nothing wrong and possibly find a way to stop this. I'm average weight, but with obesity in my family as well as diabetes I don't want to end up with either.

I've tried activites like trying to keep myself occupied by doing yard work, or cross-stitching, and quilting (yeah I've done enough that I've pretty much got all my Christmas presents done), but it doesn't help.

Try eating about 6 snack-sized meals each day. The cravings could be from too much time in between meals, you're body still has the craving even after it's full. Also, you might try to find a hobby or something to keep you occupied. Often people tend to crave food when they're bored. Pick up a good book or learn to crochet.

No, there's nothing wrong with you. What you're dealing with is a learned habit-- one that's primarily responsible for obesity in America.

You've got to 'quit' overeating the same way you'd quit smoking. You'll want snack, but you just have to resist. Eat until you're full-- then stop. Period.

Avoid the triggers that make you want to snack and snack and snack:

Plopping down in front of the TV from 7 pm to 10 pm.
Surfing the net mindlessly for hours at a time.
Reading while sprawled out on the couch.
etc., etc., etc.

I also recommend 'replacement therapy': Whatever it is that you normally do while stuffing yourself, try to scale it back and replace it with something else. Take a shower. Take a nap. Take a walk-- anything to get you out of the normal circumstances that make you want to continue to chow down long after you're full.

eating intervelled meal is good for any one, if you have tendency for diabetic it is a high end symptoms to have lots of thrist , at same time if u are not over weighing instead of worrying for over eating , you can sensually balance your meal rather worrying , see you are not eatign burgers and cokes and avoid high oil foods in this intervels , high fibre food should not create any concern

It might mean you have a pre-diabetic low blood sugar condition. It is caused by high insulin production. Check out www.hufa.org for info on low blood sugar, as well as tips on how you can self test.
