You need to be more detailed in your question. Do you mean major religion or can a branch of a religion apply? The largest major religion in the world is Christianity. The largest individual branch of any religion is Roman Catholicism (which has 1 billion followers in the world). No idea what the youngest religion is as new religions spring up literally every day. There are thousands of branches of Protestant Christianity in the USA alone.

I would think Christianity is the largest religion... though it does appear it is losing ground. The youngest religion is Wicca... it was started in the late 40's (officially) in England... it came to America in the late 50's - early 60's. The earliest writings concerning Wicca directly is fiction books, one written by Gerald Gardner (the original founder of Wicca) in the late 30's (I think it came out in 39, but I could be wrong). The concepts behind Wicca are older than Christianity, but the religion itself is still very young.

Christianity is still the largest numerically. The youngest major world religion is the Baha'i Faith. My religion, the worship of the Great Goddess, Isis, is the oldest continuously practiced religion on earth.

"The youngest of the world’s independent religions, the Faith founded by Bahá’u’lláh ".
"Founded a century and a half ago, the Bahá’à Faith is today among the fastest-growing of the world’s religions. With more than five million followers, who reside in virtually every nation on earth, it is the second-most widespread faith, surpassing every religion but Christianity in its geographic reach. Bahá’Ãs reside in more than 100,000 localities around the world, an expansion that reflects their dedication to the ideal of world citizenship."

Youngest official religion?
Possibly Pastafarianism (Worship of the Flying Spaghetti Monster) ..... or if we're being a bit more serious, though only a bit... Jedi.
Largest is Christianity. Theres no escaping that. Its had its filthy claws dug firmly into this planet for centuries... though its on the decline... and gradually being beaten back by the even more grubby claws of Islam.
