I know islam has a bad reputation because of the fundematalists.
The truth is islam is a very good religion. Its flexible. Muslims are allowed to marry people from different religions.
Yes a church wedding is also possible. A church and a mosque are the same things.
when will people realise that Muslims also believe in Jesus, Moses and Muhammed. In Islam its the number one rule to believe in the three prophets.

Possible, yes. It's a little easier if the man is Muslim and the woman is Christian. A bit more difficult if the man is Christian and the woman is Muslim.
The Muslim man will probably try to persuade the girl to convert to Islam. And he might succeed. If he is a good Muslim, he will be a good example of a man that any woman will be proud to have as her husband. On the other hand, there is a chance that the Muslim woman will convert to Christianity if she marries a Christian.
Or not. If the two are Western-educated, they might not give that much importance to subscribing to the SAME faith. They will be tolerant of each other's religion.
What is paramount is that they must truly love each other and be willing to make sacrifices for the union to succeed.

I guess I cannot imagine marrying a Muslim, without converting to Islam first.
I have friends who have had a civil ceremony and then a Muslim ceremony.....which is a very simple affair. A Muslim man, who practices his religion as it should be, can marry any woman who is ''of the Book''. That is a Jew or a Christian. But, a Muslim woman must marry a Muslim, as the child follows the father's religion, in Islam.

Yes this is possible!
For a christian woman marrying a muslim man it is no problem at all. However a muslim woman "should" only marry a muslim man. But it depends on the muslim woman and her family.
Either way you would not be able to marry in church.
But it is also not necessary to have a muslim wedding.
I am a christian woman happily married to a muslim man. We had a small muslim ceremony (almost like a blessing really) and had a civil ceremony in the UK.

For the Muslims, a Christian woman can marry a Muslim man but not vice versa. For the Christians, the Christian spouse would need a special permission from the Bishop and there is a special rite for wedding between a Christian and one who's not. If both of them are really convinced about their religion I would think twice though.....such a marriage has high probability to fail.

A Muslim man can marry a non-Muslim woman who is a follower of the book (ie: Christian or Jew). It doesn't work the other way though.
I think that you'd need to have both weddings, but then it depends on the piety of both parties. Either that, or have one "main" wedding ceremony, then a "blessing" from a priest or imam for the other party.

Yes they can i know because i did and i was never told to convert to being a Muslim you have to have a civil wedding the same way a catholic and a protestant have to ,no one can convert to Muslim if by force it doesn`t count you can only become a Muslim if the desire to do so comes from the heart ,this is why it is such rubbish when people make out that Muslims are trying to force Christians to convert, they can`t because its absolutely not allowed by their religion

I can't see the problem. If one wants to convert to the others religion then its their choice. Maybe easier to get a Civil wedding and have blessing for both.
Not sure if Muslim have blessings like Christians do.
