Coalition pulls out of Iraq. Iraq is partitioned to stem the violence. Iran + Syria covertly fund Extremists until Iraq falls and then include Iraq as part of the new Islamic revolution. Then they turn towards Saudi Arabia and the house of Saud their 'decadent neighbour' From there, this new middle east coalition would attack Israel, given Iran's vow to destroy the state, from all sides. Israel go nuclear to defend a hopeless strategic situation. Western government attempts to stop this come to nothing. I'm not saying this is a well researched question but discuss if you wanna. Interested in the hypothetical responses not tunnel vision americans saying they're country wouldn't let it happen or the west will act as moderators. Sooner or later the Middle East will decide it's own fate irrespective of what the west think.

Thanks!

Nice theories! I hope you didn't put to much time into research. This is a theory that has been being proclaimed for half a century, just the names of the middle eastern countries have changed. It has been Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Palestine ect!

There is little doubt that Nuclear weapons will be used by Iran against the State of Israel, should they develop such weapons. This is the meaning of the rhetoric when the Iranian President states that Israel has no further function and will be wiped off the face of the earth.

Should such weapons be used against Israel then they will undoubtedly retaliate with their own and Armageddon will surely ensue. The Middle East will cease to exist in its present state and large areas will be contaminated by Nuclear fallout for centuries.

It would not be in Iran's or any other Arab state's interest to initiate an attack such as that on any Middle East state as they would undoubtedly lose many Millions of their citizens in such a Nuclear Holocaust. The President of Iran is committed to the extinction of the State of Israel and the Jewish nation and is an echo of the Nazi Regime of 60 years ago (Megalomania)

It doesn't sound all that far fetched. Public opinion will eventually decide the Iraq timetable. We pulled out of Vietnam due to public pressure. Eventually, Vietnam didn't do too bad after all. Iraq may not be as lucky. The Islamic regimes in the region will want that prize. Also, like it or not, Al Queda is looking for a new home after they were run out of Afghanistan.
Either way, the furure for the region doesn't look too bright.
It would be nice to wave a magic wand and have dependence on oil be gone forever. The value of oil would then be worthless and so would the Middle East economies.

The coalition has been going for nearly half a century in the middle east and the Western govt seems to actually "attempt" to stop but if they would have done their job ,then the extremists would have disappeared long time back! I agree with u that the Middle east fate depends on what the West think!

A coalition of Muslim countries attempted to destroy Israel years ago and failed mightily.
Despite being numerically inferior, the Israeli army is more than a match for any middle-eastern coalition, and with the backing of the USA and UK could defend against all comers.
When I say backing, I mean military forces and weaponry. Much of the Middle East relies on ex-soviet equipment which is to be honest crap. And with Israeli air superiority any armed forces heading towards Israel could be easily repulsed.

This is a reasonable prediction. The existence of Israel and the present war have destabilised the whole of the Middle East

You are, of course, quite right in your assessment of the middle east situation. IT COULD HAPPEN the way you described it. There are numerous scenarios but all lead to a great war and possible Armageddon. According to Nostradamus' predictions this war will last for 27 years and end in victory for the west. ...whatever that means.

I'm still trying to figure out why we went to war with Iraq in the first place. Never mind the official reason, there's got to be some sort of hidden agenda somewhere.

Mind you, I'm very fond of 'Armageddon Time' by the Clash.

All sounds plausible except the "middle east coalition", these guys can argue over the slightest thing so I can't see them joining together to fight, even against Israel.
