This is a (last minute) middle school project for Family Studies and my son needs to write a paper on this. It just needs some details on why stuffed animals (a Panda) is such a great toy. He would like some other peoples' opinion so that is why I am post ing this question.

Stuffed toys are the perfect way to satisfy the human desire to be hugged and snuggled! It is just another form of affection. Plus the fur is usually very soft, and feels good next to the skin. It's basic human desire in it's simplest form! Hope your son gets an A! And I hope I get ten points!

I agree with the above answers, plus stuffed animals encourage imaginative play because they don't "do" anything. Kids have to move them, talk for them, and use their imaginations to interact with them.
