You should floss every day. It removes the bacteria from between the teeth, which is where most cavities start.
Also, flossing prevents gingivitis and also prevents heart disease. If you let those mouth bacteria grow all the time, you increase your chances of heart disease.
If you haven't flossed for awhile (or ever...) your gums may bleed some for the first few times, but after your gums get used to it, there won't be any bleeding.
If someone's tooth came out from flossing, chances are the tooth was already rotten or loose or something.
Many dentists would argue that flossing is just as, or even more, important than brushing with a fluoride paste.
Floss,dammit!

Yea, I floss it cleans inbetween your teeth where toothbrush's miss it removes the build up that can cause tooth decay. Flossing is a must. If you floss right and not to hard your teeth won't loosen. I don't know how vigorously your friend was flossing that made his tooth fall out perhaps it was loose in the first place.

Yes. Flossing removes food particles between the teeth. I've never heard of flossing loosening the teeth. Check with your dentist.

Yes its important otherwise all the bits of food stuck in between will cause plaque and decay. The person whose teeth came out must have been in a bad state, as dentists would not recommend flossing if it caused that to happen.

I floss everday and my teeth are not loose. Maybe this person had bad gums and their teeth became loose. Flossing helps get the food that gets in between your teeth out and u won't develop a cavity between them. If also helps your gums around the teeth.

Flossing keeps your gums healthy as it removes all the bits of food that you can't reach with a toothbrush. Your teeth shouldn't be falling out if you floss & brush regularly, also use mouthwash.

I floss almost every day.

It cleans the space between your teeth and gums, stops plaque and bacteria from building up there, and so keeps your gums healthy.

Healthy gums will not recede. It's receding gums which cause your teeth to fall out.

It's possible that the person you spoke to had gums that were in such a poor state that their tooth was already loose and ready to come out!

Flossing also stops food from becoming trapped, thus preventing one of the causes of bad breath

Flossing is as nessacary as brushing those teeth. If your denist dosent encourage it then you need a new dentist.

Only if there is damage to begin with.

I floss every day. It gets out food and plaque from between your teeth that brushing doesn't get.

I would recommend "Glide" floss. It doesn't shred like regular floss does.
