Like, switch it from left to right or right to middle etc.. so that the scalp is not over-exposed by the sun that it leaves it a little red and tanned than the rest of the scalp?

Or people usually just live with one parting for most of their lives..?

You don't have to change it, but if you do wear it one way for a long time, you can train your hair. It will part that way naturally. My sister did the same part for years, and it took her forever to get her hair untrained afterward.

I don't worry about tanning myself. I just go with what looks best with my current style.

Its not necessary, whatever your preference.

I am 36 and have parted my hair to one side most of my life. It just looks the best there. I don't see any redness or tanning of the scalp.

Hi! I think that you have to change it periodically, one cm left or right. Then when you want someday to change your hair parting, it will not hurt you and you will have a better result. Good luck:)
