I think you are using too harsh products. Try getting a mild shampoo. If you have an oily scalp, dandruff can be caused by overactive oilglands so if you have an itchy scalp, by scratching it you can cause the skin to flake off. Try washing with mild shampoo and leaving your hair alone. Visit a hair salon and ask for advice.

I use to have a bad problems with this, until I started using Suave dandruff shampoo every day and using a good over the counter conditioner( all Suave products work as far as good conditioners). I used ti get flakes in my eyebrows if this does not work you may have eczema and need a doctors help. Also I take an astringent like Seabreeze and dab the bad places with it (a different cotton ball for every area) it takes a while but is well worth it. Before you know it the problem will be gone, but just keep using the shampoo like it is still there. High levels of stress cause it to be worse. Good luck

I had a problem with dandruff just on the left side of my head. I was given some cream on prescription from the doctors. I used this cream and it had no effect. I am male and my hair is quite short, so following showers etc I just used to "towel dry" I bought a natural bristle hair brush and brushed my hair 3 times/day and after 3 weeks the problem had completely disappeared. I continue to brush it every day and it is now some 12 months and still no problem.

It sounds as if you may have seborrhoea/dandruff try T-Gel therapeutic shampoo. My partner had a really flaky scalp and it spread to around his ears and even his eyebrows, however, he now uses T-Gel regularily and it has completely cleared up. Only downside is it smells like very strong vosene but it does work.

Coconut oil works a treat, i had the same proplem, about 10 mins before you wash your hair put on some pure coconut oil (99p from superdrug) wash it out and once a week put it on before bed and wash it off in the morning, its really good for your hair too, will leave it strong and shiny.

mix some baking soda in with the shampoo to use today (not into the bottle of shampoo - into your hand) SCRUB your head. don't just run your fingers thru it. rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse. rinse in cold water. blow dry.
'eat salmon' is one of the best suggestions here. omega 3 fatty acids will help. they need to be ingested (not topical) to work.
no products with glycerin.
