I'm not doing your homework for you, but no it should not be banned. The government should have no say when it comes to what a person does to their own body.

I'm not doing your homework for you.
As a piercer and someone with lots of piercings and many tattoos all I will say is that I have a body that I have control over. We live in a free enough country to where I can do those things at my discretion. I love how they look and feel, plain and simple. I say, let people do what they want.
As far as tattooing and piercing ones self, I never condone self piercing and self tattooing by anyone, even some professionals. Most tattoos and piercings are easily screwed up and its not worth the risk.

No these activities should not be banned. If someone wants to piece or tattoo their body that is their right. In some cultures tattooing and peircings are religion.

Why would you want to ban it? If you don't want to have it done to yourself; fine; but why should you or anyone else have the right to dictate on whether it should or should not be permissible in society... Before you know it; you'll be told how many children you may have; what car you should drive; who you should marry... enjoy freedom of choice while you can!

haha, it sounds like tryign to help you write a paper or something *suspicious* but ill answer anyhows. i dont think it should be banned. that would be crazy. alot of people are really good at piercing and/or tattoing themselves. and its cheeper for them. its ridiculous to pay 40-60 dollors for a needle to be pushed through a peice of your skin and replaced by a cheep peice of jewlery. i do think that people who pierce with out beign safe adn sterile are very dumb but you cant outlaw somthign just because some people are dumb.

uhm, why should it be banned? the body is a blank canvas and it's your decision what is to be done with it.
you don't see people being forced to get their eyebrow pierced.
