The Atkins diet is aimed at losing weight quickly by removing the carbs from your diet this doesn't mean that you are only eating meat. A large part of the diet is vegetables. If you are looking to maintain a weight and want to improve your meal variety there is no reason why you cannot re-introduce carbs into your diet. You should just be aware of the size of the portion you are having. You will know from the book what is supposed to be bad, so just be controlled with your portions.

At the end of the day a balanced diet with exercise is all that you need to control your weight. It's about not eating too much fat, carbs and sugar. If you are going to over-eat you are going to gain weight.

Good luck

As the above poster said, on Atkins you should not be "just eating meats". Even on the strictest phase (induction) vegetables are an important part of your daily diet, and you can also be having small amounts of cheese and other things.

Maybe you need to look at more creative ways of preparing the foods you are eating. Have you read the book? Or check out resources online for low-carb recipes like this forum http://forum.lowcarber.org/forumdisplay.php?f=2

As you move through the stages you should be increasing your vegetable intake as well as adding some fruits & nuts. In later stages, some people can also add back dairy and some whole grains, depending on how their body reacts to those things.

I think that if your tired of that diet, you should just slowing introduce carbs back in, but still eat healthy and avoid sugary sweets. But if you just go back to eating the way you were before you lost any weight you will just gain it back.
