I'm a Police officer in England and will talk to anyone from any background religion........whatever! I am respectful of my religon and keep it to myself and am non preachy. When I was 16 I had a Jewish girlfriend for a while...........exciting!!

I believe everone is peaceful unless they show me otherwise regardless of religion etc... I bet you see enough violence in your job to know that peace amongst society is not drawn along religious lines....

People are probably more concerned with your profession when you talk with them on the street than your religion.
If you value human dignity and recognize just and right behavior towards your countrymen, then your religion should be a personal matter.
I lived in Indonesia for an extended period of time and the only discussions I ever had about spiritual belief were the ones I started. In fact, I am still friends with a Sufi who is probably the kindest person I have ever met.

it's not a wonder !.. Irrespective of coulor, country or religion, 80% of the people on earth are peaceful people. Only 20% are troble makers.. good to know that you are from those 80%.
As you are a Police officer, I am sure you know that .. majority of the people you see in your day are good people. only some are toruble makers and you do your job to keep those 20% away from other 80%.

Check it Bro!! I'm a soldier in the US Army, and I've met my share of peaceful Muslims, I dont hate your religion or hate your people. I used to be ignorant, I admit, but I've seen that some Muslim people, really just want to be left alone. I am a Mexican-American, believe me, I know its painful to feel discriminated and unwelcome. I must agree though, I'm not a big fan about American businesses, starting to favor Muslims because of the wealth they poses, because they are hurting their own people. But I dont blame you, the war created a big chain of events!

I have no problem with those who follow the teachings of Islam. Most of those whom I've met are really wonderful people. But in every group, there are those who misquote teachings and try to use their disbelief for their own ends

I believe any good Muslim is peaceful. God is Great! I believe the prophet refered to Jesus as the Christ in the Koran and that Jews and Christians are to be respected. He said that if you kill one of these it is as if you killed me.
Muslims Christians and Jews must bow down together before God and worship in love and in peace. God is greater than all our prejudice and violence.

u maybe peaceful, but islam is not peaceful. i was watching the islam channel few days ago and they were showing live prayers from the makkah. and the guy was reciting from the quran and one of the things he said was to kill jews and christians. i know i am not wrong coz i have studied the quran and i know it says this. so muslims maybe peaceful but i am 200 % sure islam is not
