Has anyone else noticed that it impossible for the religous folks hanging about to answer a question without mentioning god in one form or another?

Someone asked wether they were a good person or not because they weren't religous. Most non-god reffering say yes, while god reffering say (and I'm paraphrasing) If you believe in god you're good, if not your lost to him, or him to you.

The Question asked was "Do you think I'm doing something wrong?" (Please search for full text of the question)

It Was A Simple Yes or No Question. God Doesn't Need To Enter Every Topic Of Discussion.

My Question Again Is:

Has anyone else noticed that it impossible for the religous folks hanging about to answer a question without mentioning god in one form or another?

Even when you ask a question like this, someone will answer "God is part of everything and therefore should be entered in every topic of discussion".

One of my favourite was (before I got suspended) I asked "What time is it?" in R&S and somebody STILL managed to jackhammer God in to their answer. Ha ha ha ha.

Yes, I have noticed.

The worse thing i have seen here is when someone made a thread called "Atheists can you say something good about Theists" and another called "Theists can you say something good about Atheists" and the Theists all but 1 or 2 out of the 18 said horrible things while only 1 or 2 of the Atheists said something horrible about the Theists. Goes to show.

It's an unhealthy obsession that they have. Think how liberating it would be if we removed God from the equation and learned to strive to fulfill our true potential without any supernatural influence. Paradoxically I don't think God, if he existed, would want us to be unquestioning believers-I think he would want us to be independent and willing to take responsibility for our own actions instead of concerning ourselves with the supernatural.

I guess that's what makes them religious.
God is indeed a good reference to guidlines, standards, laws, ethics, etc.

I can because how you worship or do not worship is not my place to say if you are wrong or right. this is all up to you as you have the free will to decide what is right and wrong for you.
