When placing your opinion here please be polite:
In Your Opinion, What is (1) Alchemy, (2) Witchcraft, (3) Voodoo, (4) Herbology, and (5)magick TO YOU?
Not, what you have heard, what do you know about it what is YOUR definition on them?

If you are going to address my question please address the whole thing!
One more rule, you can’t look it up either, you have paw at your brains door to see what comes out of the closet. No skeletons I hope, eek, well then again it is getting close to Halloween, Santa Clause’s skeleton got to come out eventually.
Oh yeah side question, Why doesn’t anybody ever dress up as Santa Clause for Halloween?
Thank you!

I'm afraid I'm rather academic.
Then again, I'm also a very successful witch.

Alchemy works on the principles of like attracts like. Ingredients of various "personality" are combined and then either consumed, carried or worn or placed in a location to encourage similar energies to be attracted to the person, place or thing to be affected. Kitchen Witchery is a low-key, modern day alchemical practice or which I am quite fond.

Witchcraft is utilizing the energy within (in some cases channeled from without, but not always) "colored" by emotion, based on intent, and projected into a person, object or the world at large to create some affect.

Voodoo is a synchretic afro-carribean belief system, somewhat shamanic in nature, involving communication with various spirits, including Gods and plant and animal spirits. It's actually a very complicated and beautiful magico-religious system, far too much to go into here, but that's the jist.

Herbology is the study of plants, their nature, energies, culture, etc.

Magick is the word coined by Aleister Crowley to differentiate true magic from stage magic. I personally find the K superfluous. However, I do agree with his definition for the most part. Magic is the conscious act of changing your universe in accordance with Will.

I didn't look it up. I'm just old like that.
I've seen Santa Clause on Halloween.

1. Alchemy, use of natural items for unnatural causes, the origination of chemistry
2. Witchcraft: Pagan ritualism
3. Voodoo: African/Carribean religion
4. Herbology: The search for natural remedies, the study of plants chemical elements
5. Magick: The art of illusion

for the record it took me like 3 minutes to answer this, meaning that I actually had to *gasp* THINK about it.

Finally a good question!!!

I think people can feel free to have the opinion that they want. They should be able to express there opinion, and those who listen (which should be lots of people) should have an open mind, and maybe change there opinion. Some opinions may not turn into anything, but it doesnt mean there worthless. Even if nobody treasures your opinion, you should. Its what makes you who you are.

Alchemy, witchcraft, voodoo, and magic can all be kind of put into pretty much the same catagory, but different techniques used for different outcomes, but still what some call a form of magic.
Herbology, hmm im not to sure on.. but im guessing using natural herbs for medicinal values.

Hmmmmmmm......let me see

You say........
"just for the record I am a pagan, so you good god fearing people please leave your religious comments out of good conversation"

And you post this on a religious board?..Deal with the comments then. But I'll keep it simple
Most of what you are speaking of is against what we believe as Christians ( I'm not familiar with Herbology , so I can't speak for that particular one, but placing it with the others as you have deal I'm guessing that one too would be something we wouldn't beileve in)
You speak of Halloween and Christmas. Halloween especially has pagen beginnings and there are some pagen beilefs associated with Christmas. But for the most part, people see these times as fun times and most people do not even know of the pagen side of it.
Sooooooo.........When you are trying to dis Christians for taking part in Halloween you are trying to make a bad thing out of nothing.
When you (pagens) take part in Christmas ( the day we have chosen to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ) we don't make fun of you.
Good is good no matter what you try to make it

Bad is bad no matter how you package it

Alchemy - I think this is a completely unscientific and unworkable chemical process in which you turn base metals in to Gold.

Witchcraft - It's like a big boat that takes you to Salem.

Voodoo - That you do so well.

Herbbiology - The history of the "Love Bug".

Magick - A poor spell.

Just one thing, God does not condone 1,2,3,4 or 5. And to answer your side question: I don't know, I cannot speak for everyone.

It's all spiritism. Except herbology.
Condemned by God.

Santa Claus has his time during Christmas.
