When I got married my sister in law gave us a bare branch sticking out of a pot and a card. The card read " This is a magic tree every 5th of the month this tree will grow a $100 bill for the next 6 months" She later explained that she was going to give us $100 bucks every month for 6 months...... That was seven years ago, Is it rude for me to call her and ask her for the money ?

Yes, it would be rude. Unless you need money to barrow but I would never mention the gift to her. Don't bring up things like that. There must have been a reason she did not give you that money. Its 7 years ago its not worth the family stress you would cause. Suck it up, by now its time to get over it.

Seven years too late yes not a good idea.
I would find a pretty box and fill it with love.
Wrap it up very pretty and give it to her as a gift for no reason.

yes and only because it's seven years later!why didn't you ask for it earlier?what if she assumed you didn't want it then used it?but if you insist on trying then you probably can get it from her, if she's nice!!!
