tracie i am in the same boat as you! there is absolutely nothing you can do....apart from cutting your hair and STOP using straighteners...now we all know you're not going to do that!
We like the look of long straight hair, therefore we have to pay the price.

Have them cut a little bit and then try to use a silicon-based hair product in order to prevent getting new split ends. Your hair dresser can recommend u a product for prevention of split ends.

The only real cure for split ends is to cut them off.

I'd say try using an anti-dandruff conditioner for silky soft hair instead of gel. In that way, you don't only keep your split ends, but you keep your hair manageable and silky soft and smells really good. Don't worry, it won't form any bubble, it works like a mouse and its safe to use everyday... c",)

Here are some websites to go to: http://www.tellmehowto.net/howto/stop_split_ends_34-14k; http://www.curlyhairsalon.com/split-ends.html-23k. There is also a gadget called The Split Ender. Type it in your search engine to get results.

You really should keep your ends trimmed. That's the best way
to end the split ends.
